LONDONDERRY -- They’ve lifted the spirits of audiences inside the National Cathedral and well beyond. Next week, the Gordon College Choir will awe audiences closer to home.
The 45-voice choir will perform at the Londonderry Presbyterian Church on
Saturday, March 12. The concert begins at 7 p.m.
Considered one of the premiere choral groups on the East Coast and well known for its strong harmonies and emotive interpretations of musical pieces, the Gordon College Choir will perform a diverse medley of soul-soar
ing songs.

Choir members are selected annually through a competitive audition program. The choir annually performs in A Christmas Gala, one of the largest and most popular musical performances in the greater Boston area, and has previously performed at venues such as the U.S. Naval Academy Chapel, the Beethoven Haus in Bonn, Germany, the Salzburg Dom, Il Duomo in Florence, and the Lady Chapel of the Black Madonna in Einsiedeln, Switzerland.
The choir was also featured in the Public Broadcasting System television special “Jews and Christians: A Journey of Faith” that has aired in the United States since 2001.
The public is welcome to attend the concert. There will be no charge for admission, though a freewill offering will be taken to help defray the choir’s traveling expenses.
